The Department of Measurement participated in IDET

On 29-31 May, International Defence and Security Technologies Fair (IDET) took place in Brno. The IDET is a prestigious defence and security technology expo in Central Europe with strong international participation of exhibitors and trade visitors. It is designed as a pro-export platform for the Czech defence and security industry. It is held with the support and participation of the most important political and military representatives of the Czech Republic.

Within the IDET our Department of Measurement presented a Laser Shooting Range used for parallel task generation during measurement of speech, audio and video transmission quality in telecommunication network by means of subjective testing. It enables unique multilingual, multi-national subjective tests and tests under special conditions, such as mental or physical stress, or solving parallel tasks.

As part of the exhibition, the Department of Measurement also presented a result of the project, which realized in cooperation with the University of Defense in Brno. The project relates to the detector of detection and evaluation of incoming shooting. The detector is designed to be placed on vehicles and its aim is to detect a small-arms attack. It is particularly useful in cities and public places, where it is difficult to recognize the source of shooting.

Except of a Laser Shooting Range and the Detector, the CTU showed Ballistic Resistant Mobile Barriers, Drones, Walking Robots as well as FlexiGuard.
